Loan Modifications and Washington's Foreclosure Fairness Act

With the passing of Washington's new Foreclosure Fairness Act, loan modifications got a whole lot easier.  If you have been denied a loan modification or in the process of getting a loan modification, contact your local HUD counselor or foreclosure attorney to find out how you can benefit from this new Act. You lose the right to take advantage of the mediation process under the Act if you do not get referred into the program within 20 days after receiving a Notice of Trustee Sale.  Only a certified HUD counselor or attorney licensed in Washington can make this referral for you so do not delay in making an appointment if you are served with either a Notice of Default or Notice of Trustee's Sale.

To compare the different loan modification options available, check out the Archives on my home page on this blog. I update each program as changes are made, so be sure to check back periodically.
